53Six is looking for a freelance assistant editor to join us initially for a few weeks, with a view to working on a continued basis over the coming months.

About the Company

Fifty-Three Six is a full service, multi-award winning Sports Marketing Agency and Production Company. We specialise in content creation, performance marketing and digital strategy. 

We work with the likes of Racing TV, Kinetica, GAA, Lidl, The FA, Swim Ireland, IRFU, Munster Rugby, Joymo, PlayerData, BWG and many more. 

We pride ourselves in the quality of productions from TVCs, full feature documentaries, branded content, and social content.

About the Role

This role is initially a freelance position to come in and support on a number of projects, and depending on how things progress could evolve into the opportunity to own projects to edit from start to finish. 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Prepping projects to hand over to an in-house editor

  • Synching rushes

  • Logging rushes

  • Prepping project files

  • Opportunity to edit projects nose to tail

  • Telecining

  • Offline

  • Edit assembly (including ‘social’ formats)

  • Amends to edits

  • Basis GFX

  • Onlining

  • Prepping for soundmix and grade

  • aaf. omf. edl formats

  • Multi-platform exporting

  • Creating subtitles

  • Syncing together final graded files, sound mix and graphics package for delivery to client or media team

Candidate:

  • Has their own laptop/computer with access to Premiere

  • Proven ability to work closely in a small team with tight schedules

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment or has worked in a production agency or ‘in house’ previously


Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Premiere

  • In-depth knowledge or Media Encoder or Da Vinci

  • Bonus - After Effects and Photoshop

  • Broadcast experience with end to end pipeline knowledge a preference
